Quotes on Quantum Physics, Reality and Near Death Experiences

When you break subatomic particles down to their most elemental level, you are left with nothing but pure Light.  Stephen Hawking Theoretical Physicist

.

To see the nucleus of an atom, the atom would have to be as high as a fourteen-story building!  The nucleus of an atom as high as a fourteen-story building would be about the size of a grain of salt.  Since a nuclear particle has about 2,000 times more mass than an electron, the electrons revolving around this nucleus would be about as massive as dust particles!   The Dancing Wu Li Masters - Gary Zukav pg 34

An atom consists of a nucleus and electrons.  the nucleus is located a the center of the atom.  It occupies only a small part of the atom's volume, but almost all of its mass.  This is the same nucleus as in the planetary model.  As in the planetary model, electrons move in the general area of the nucleus.  In this model, however, the electrons may b anywhere within an "electron cloud".  the electron cloud is made of  various standing waves which surround the nucleus.  The shape of the various standing waves which comprise the electron cloud tells physicists the probability of finding the point electron at any given place in the cloud.  The Dancing Wu Li Masters - Gary Zukav pg 130

The exploration of the subatomic world in the twentieth century has revealed the intrinsically dynamic nature of matter.  It has shown that the constituents of atoms, the subatomic particles, are dynamic patterns which do not exist as isolated entities, but as integral parts of an inseparable network of interactions.  These interactions involve a ceaseless flow of energy manifesting itself as the exchange of particles; a dynamic interplay in which particles are created and destroyed without end in a continual variation of energy patterns.  The particle interactions give rise to the stable structures which build up the material world, which again do not remain static, but oscillate in rhythmic movements.  The whole universe is thus engaged in endless motion and activity; in a continual dance of energy.  The Tao of Physics  pg 225

Whenever a particle is confined to a small region of space it reacts to this confinement by moving around, and the smaller the region of confinement is, the faster the particle moves around in it.  In the atom, now, there are two competing forces.  On the one hand, the electrons are bound to the nucleus by electric forces which try to keep them as close as possible.  On the other hand, they respond to their confinement by whirling around, and the tighter they are bound the nucleus, the higher their velocity will be; in fact, the confinement of electrons in an atom results in enormous velocities of about 600 miles per second.  These high velocities make the atom appear as a rigid sphere, just as a fast rotating propeller appears as a disk.  It is very difficult to compress atoms any further and thus they give matter it's familiar solid aspect.   The Tao of Physics pg 69-70

An atomic nucleus is about one hundred thousand times smaller than the whole atom and yet it contains almost all of the atom's mass.  This means that matter inside the nucleus must be extremely dense compared to the forms of matter we are used to.  Indeed, if the whole human body were compressed to nuclear density it would not take up more space than a pinhead.  This high density, however, is not the only unusual property of nuclear matter.  Being of the same quantum nature as electrons, the "nucleons" - as the protons and neutrons are often called - respond to their confinement with high velocities, and since they are squeezed into a much smaller volume their reaction is all the more violent.  They race about in the nucleus with velocities of about 40,000 miles per second!  Nuclear matter is thus a form of matter entirely different from anything we experience "up here" in our macroscopic environment.  We can, perhaps, picture it best a tiny drops of an extremely dense liquid which is boiling and bubbling most fiercely.   The Tao of Physics pg 73

What we observe as material bodies and forces are nothing but shapes and variations in the structure of space.     Erwin Schrodinger Nobel Prize in Physics 1933

“The atoms or elementary particles themselves are not real; they form a world of potentialities or possibilities rather than one of things or facts.”  Werner Heisenberg Nobel Prize in Physics 1932

“‎In modern physics, there is no such thing as "nothing." Even in a perfect vacuum, pairs of virtual particles are constantly being created and destroyed. The existence of these particles is no mathematical fiction. Though they cannot be directly observed, the effects they create are quite real. The assumption that they exist leads to predictions that have been confirmed by experiment to a high degree of accuracy.”  Richard Morris

We may picture the world of reality as a deep flowing stream: the world of appearance is its surface, below which we cannot see. Events deep down in the stream throw up bubbles and eddies on the surface of the stream. These are the transfers of energy and radiation of our common life, which effects our senses and so activate our minds: below these lie deep waters which we can only know by inference.  These bubbles and eddies show atomicity but we know of no atomicity in the currents  below.  Sir James Jeanes

I regard consciousness as fundamental. I regard matter as derivative from consciousness. We cannot get behind consciousness. Everything that we talk about, everything that we regard as existing, postulates consciousness.” – Max Planck, theoretical physicist who originated quantum theory, which won him the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1918

As a man who has devoted his whole life to the most clear headed science, to the study of matter, I can tell you as a result of my research about atoms this much: There is no matter as such. All matter originates and exists only by virtue of a force which brings the particle of an atom to vibration and holds this most minute solar system of the atom together. We must assume behind this force the existence of a conscious and intelligent mind. This mind is the matrix of all matter. – Das Wesen der Materie [The Nature of Matter], speech at Florence, Italy (1944) (from Archiv zur Geschichte der Max-Planck-Gesellschaft, Abt. Va, Rep. 11 Planck, Nr. 1797)

So, as I have said, I lay and became aware of these stars and this universe all around me being conscious. I also became aware of the communications of these stars. I now need to try and describe more specifically what these stars were communicating to me. It was in essence very simple - though as I have said the communication system is utterly stupendous - in the 'first part' of their communication they let me know that they knew me. In the 'second part' of their communication they let me know that they were happy to see me, again. They were so very, very happy that I was back with them, to join them again. In the 'third part' of their communication they let me know that they loved me very, very much. I need to point out here that I have written this as first, second and third part of the communication. This is wholly inaccurate - it is a limitation that we have in our thinking because of our use of language. This communication was one massive stream of 'music' that played in the very fabric of the space that I was in, that moved through me, and from me and back to them. For I myself was in such a state of joy to be with them again. (This did not strike me as in any way peculiar or strange to me.) At the same instant that that was happening I was also aware of the meta-mind of the communication as a unified and completely non-conflicted whole.        https://www.nderf.org/Experiences/1peter_n_nde_6584.html

Nonlocal space harbors a hidden reality that exerts a constant influence on our physical word.  Everything in our physical world, which is also known as space-time, is subject to time and distance.  But everything is based on constant interaction between quantum states and this invisible nonlocal space.  Everything visible emanates from the invisible.  Again this is a matter of complementarity, just like the wave and the particle function.  The visible, physical world, space-time, complements the invisible and imperceptible nonlocal space.  The physical world is influenced at quantum levels by nonlocal space, just as our physical body at all levels seems to be influenced by our consciousness.  The foundation of our physical universe seems  by definition not measurable.  Consciousness Beyond Life: The Science of the Near-Death Experience  Pim van Lommel, M.D pg 242-3

Increasingly science agrees with the poetry of direct human experience:  we are more than the atoms and molecules that make up our bodies, but beings of light as well. Biophotons are emitted by the human body, can be released through mental intention, and may modulate fundamental processes within cell-to-cell communication and DNA. Biophotons: The Human Body Emits, Communicates with, and is Made from Light

To explain these first experiences, I refer to the scientific research of biologist and medical

scientist Alexander Gurwitsch and Nobel Prize–winner and biophysicist Fritz Albert Popp.

They determined that unstable atoms in our physical body release exotic light-energy in the

form of photons. Mathematician Jan Willem Nienhuys, among others, confirmed this and also

ascertained that dying cells release countless photons. Photons as lightkwanta (independent

localized units of energy) are related to consciousness, according to Popp, and to

information, according to philosopher of science Ervin Laszlo.

__________Near Death Experience__________

.

The area into which I was looking was far off in the distance and in a dark area of space with no stars in the immediate vicinity. Then I thought that I momentarily saw a slight change at one point in that space - as if something had appeared for a second and then disappeared again. Like as if I had just vaguely identified one pin-point of movement in all that far away space. Then I saw the pin-point again, for a little longer this time, then again, and again, and again. This appearance and disappearance had a slight shimmering quality to it. This did not involve light as such (a pin-point of light) only recognition that something different from the overall background of space was present in that area. Then this thing appeared and stayed in appearance. At that point I knew for sure that its staying in appearance was because it was getting closer. I knew that there was something there and it was apparently moving in my direction.

I don't know how long a period this occurred in. Time there does not exist in the way that we understand here. There is something done to time there that nullifies it in some way. I do not know how this works, I only know that it is that way. Events happen but their 'gauge' is not time as such. There is something like time there but it is not anything like what we understand as time. It could be viewed as in some way linked with the communication system and also with changes of state. It should be borne in mind that the communication system that I have tried to describe is very much one which intimately involves changes of state at all in the one time the individual, group, and meta-group (or unified group) levels. Again I stress that this meta-group level with its own meta-mind is in itself a distinct personality.

As I identified that there was something moving in the distance I felt a silence come upon me. This had nothing to do with fear - I had in fact no fear at all of anything here. As this silence fell upon me I noticed that all the stars (and 'the group') had also fallen silent. It was as if the whole space was made pregnant by this silence. As if, as if one had a feeling that something profound was about to happen even though one had no idea of what. It was as if all the stars had withdrawn into a state of contemplation; as indeed I had myself. The object, I could see, and hear, and feel-hear inside me was getting closer. As it got closer all this hearing and feel-hearing got louder. This so that I could feel my interior start to vibrate to the sound.

The sound itself even at the point where the object arrived right at me never got loud in the sense that the sound I have described in the 'immediate space' got loud. It just increased in volume but never became overwhelming. In tonal terms this sound was like a low bass rumble at all times. As I looked and the object started to get nearer and nearer it got to a point where I could see that what was moving towards me was a slowly tumbling rock. Almost as if it was rolling in space - though its rate of rolling was very slow and in no way a gauge of its actual rate of travel. It was, roughly, spherical in shape. As it got nearer and nearer I could see that its surface was quite rough, irregular (just like a huge rock here would be). It's path toward me I could see was occurring as part of a huge arc.

As this rock got to about mid-way to me I found that I was aware of some its apparent properties. These properties seemed to perplex me in some ways. This perplexity was not in any way confusing and in fact did not amount to any concern in me at all - it was simply present, that is all. One of the properties that I understood of this rock was that it was not positionally fixed in space. I seemed to be aware of this as a distinct property of this rock that made it in some way different from all else that was around me. I knew that this rock had a freedom of movement that marked it out as different from everything else. I was also aware that I was not aware of the consciousness of this rock in the same way that I was aware of the consciousness of the stars. (Though again I say that the stars had now fallen silent and had been silent for some time.) I was also aware that in some way the consciousness of this rock was not being made available to me. Though I must say that there was no element of deception involved in this. My sense was of something approaching that in some way was un-knowable and that ineffability had something to do with the state it was in. I had a sense that this rock and its movement was extremely volitional. Whatever this was it was not a object approaching by chance because of some random path it was on. It had volition. I was also aware that this rock was ageless - by which I mean that in our terms it was old beyond our widest imaginings.

Now, all of this apparent non-communication, was a communication from it to me. It was only that I did not understand the elements of the communication that it appeared to me that there were no elements of a communication. However, though I could not distinguish communication elements directed by it deliberately to me it was clear to me that those awarenesses that I did have merged to form an over-arching communication (or meta-communication, if you like). And that communication was that this was fate. Whatever was happening now was something that was destined in some way. It knew why it was there, though (at that point) I did not. This was why this object was volitional. It was, if you like, keeping an appointment. And it knew, from what we would call the beginning of time, that it would be here now to meet me. I did not at that point understand that I was meant to be there to meet it, that awareness on my part was in a nascent state. I tried, as I had done so with the stars (though with them it was not necessary to 'try') to reach out to the consciousness of this object, merge with it in the very definite way that I have also described, but found that I could not do so. All that I got was what I have described above.

I watched it come nearer and nearer and as it got very close realized that there was nothing that I could do to pre-empt its intention. It was now so close that my entire field of vision was filled with the rough surface of this rolling rock. It was now so close that I thought that I could reach out and touch it if I wished. It was now so close that I could see that it was going to roll into me. This did not concern me in any way at all. In no way at all did I seem to be afraid of it. Just at that point I looked up and down to see nothing but this huge rock above and below me as it rolled right onto...

I was lying, suspended, drifting in nothing but light. Everywhere around me was light. There was nowhere that was not light. Light as far as I could see. Light, I knew, further than I could see. This light was very bright but in no way at all did it hurt my sight. This light had a singular property that is utterly indescribable in the extent and scope of its sheer magnitude. The singular property of this light was one of absolute love. This love was utterly unreserved, completely unbounded, and utterly infinite in its scope.

This love was possessed of a personality of which I could feel with every fibre of my being flow into me, through me, touching every single part of me. There was no part of me that was not touched by this love. There was no part of me that was not to its completely essential core utterly permeated by this love. I know of no sensation ever given to me, that in any way approaches the extent of the sensation freely extended to me by this being without reservation. This being, this light, was total love.

Within that total love there came also the knowing of the intelligence and wisdom of this being for I was bathed and permeated by this also. The extent of the intelligence and wisdom of this being, of this light, was utterly indescribable other than to call it infinite. This intelligence and wisdom was of a magnitude that knew that there was nothing that was outwith its compass, that knew there was nothing of which it was not aware, that knew there was nothing that was outwith its scope.   https://www.nderf.org/Experiences/1peter_n_nde_6584.html  Highly Recommended!!  Long!

Information transfer from fields takes place via resonance, that is, vibrations with the same frequency and phase.  Resonance is not limited to acoustic resonance in sound or the the electromagnetic resonance we get when tuning in to a radio or television station, but it also exists at the smallest subcellular level as electron spin resonance and nuclear magnetic resonance.  Morphogenetic (formative) fields feature nonenergetic information transfer, and these fields, like the probability fields in quantum physics, are based on probability.  It is this property that makes these field difficult to describe.  As living systems, all organisms have a rhythmic oscillation, vibration, or periodic motion, each with its specific and characteristic frequency.  Each living cell has countless vibrating molecular structures, which in turn have specific oscillations.  The reciprocal information transfer between the field and the living cell structures takes place via resonance with these specific frequencies.  Consciousness Beyond Life: The Science of the Near-Death Experience   Pim van Lommel, M.D pg 248

In this new approach, complete and endless consciousness with retrievable memories has its origin in nonlocal space in the form of indestructible and not directly observable wave functions.  These wave functions, which store all aspects of consciousness in the form of information, are always present in and around the body (nonlocally).  The brain and the body merely function as a relay station receiving part of the overall consciousness and part of our memories in our waking consciousness in the form of measurable and constantly changing electromagnetic fields.  In this view, these electromagnetic fields of the brain are not the cause but rather the effect or consequence of endless consciousness.  Consciousness Beyond Life: The Science of the Near-Death Experience   Pim van Lommel, M.D  pg 265

Quantum phenomena provide prima facie evidence that information gets around in ways that do not conform to classical ideas.  Thus the idea that information is transferred superluminally is not a priori, unreasonable.

.

Everything we know about Nature is in accord with the idea that the fundamental process of Nature lies outside space-time. . . but generates events that can be located in space-time.  The theorem of this paper supports this view of Nature by showing that superluminal transfer of information is necessary, barring certain alternatives. . . that seem less reasonable.  Indeed, the reasonable philosophical position of Bohr seems to lead to the rejection of the other possibilities, and hence, by inference, to the conclusion that superluminal transfer of information is necessary. ~ Henry Stapp quantum physicist

Everything we call real is made of things that cannot be regarded as not real.  NIELS BOHR Nobel Prize in Physics 1922

The rate of spin is such a fundamental characteristic of a subatomic particle that if it is altered, the particle itself is destroyed.  That is, if the spin of the particle is altered, the particle in question is changed so fundamentally that it is no longer considered an electron, a proton or whatever it was before we altered its spin.  This makes us wonder whether all the different "particles" might just be different states of motion of some underlying structure or substance.  This is the basic question of particle physics.

The angular momentum of a subatomic particle is fixed, definite and known.  "But" wrote Max Born, "one should not imagine that there is anything in the nature of matter actually rotating."  Said another way the "spin" of a subatomic particle involves "the idea of a spin without something actually spinning.  The Dancing Wu Li Masters - Gary Zukav pg 225-26The meeting of a particle and its anti-particle is always spectacular.  Whenever a particle and its anti-particle meet they annihilate each other!  When an electron meets a positron, for example, both of them disappear and in their place are two photons which instantly depart the scene at the speed of light.  The particle and the anti-particle literally disappear in a puff of light.  Conversely, particles and anti-particles can be created out of energy and always in pairs.  The Dancing Wu Li Masters - Gary Zukav pg 229

Bell's theorem has been reformulated in several ways since Bell published the original version in 1964.  No matter how it is formulated, it projects the "irrational" aspects of subatomic phenomena squarely into the macroscopic domain.  It says the not only  do events in the realm of the very small behave in ways which are utterly different from out commonsense view of the world, but also that events in the world at large, the world of freeways and sports cars, behave in ways which are utterly different from our commonsense vie of them.  this incredible statement cannot be dismissed as fantasy because it is based upon the awesome and proven accuracy of the quantum theory itself.  The Dancing Wu Li Masters - Gary Zukav pg 306

Bell's theorem not only suggests that the world is quite different than it seems, it demands it.  There is no question about it.  Something very exciting is happening. Physicists have   "proved", rationally, that our rational ideas about the world in which we live are profoundly deficient.  The Dancing Wu Li Masters - Gary Zukav  pg 309

Bell's theorem is the most profound discovery of science. ~ Henry Stapp Theoretical quantum physicist

Bohm's theory is compatible with Bell's theorem.   Bell's theorem implies that the apparently "separate parts" of the universe could be intimately connected at a deep and fundamental level.  Bohm asserts that the most fundamental level is an unbroken wholeness which is, in his words, "that which is".  All things, including space, time and matter are forms of that-which-is.  There is an order which is enfolded into the very process of the universe, but that enfolded order may not be readily apparent.  The Dancing Wu Li Masters - Gary Zukav  pg 320

__________Near Death Experience__________

.

As I have mentioned, at times it seemed to me as if the space was not all simply space as we understand it but had some kind of matrix structure within it. This matrix that ran through the space seemed to be in a state of being revealed to me and then disappearing, again, in time with the beat of the noise. The matrix itself was not uniform in its arrangement. The closest thing I can think of that helps to describe it is that it was a bit like looking down a kaleidoscope wherein irregular 'granular structures' appear to mesh together. Though here there was no 'kaleidoscope of colours' only fleeting shades of dark or grey. Also, looking in a kaleidoscope, one does have an impression of a three-dimensional granular structure. Here this underlying matrix of space seemed to be of a two-dimensional nature. As if one were viewing flat-on the 'area plane' of a slice - like a photographic plate. My point is that it looked granular and non-regular in arrangement. As my speed increased this matrix would be revealed and then 'hidden' again with such rapidity that, though not in itself alarming in any way, did have a slightly disorienting effect on me as I sped faster and faster upward.      https://www.nderf.org/Experiences/1peter_n_nde_6584.html

My sense of ease and of peace was of a type that I had never known prior to this state. It really did feel as if I had cast off something, which could only be described as sheer weight. I had a sense of completeness of self that I had never known before. Such peace that here it would be unbelievable. Compared to there even the most at ease among us is nothing but a twitching struggling creature feigning a sense of peace. I also became aware that I seemed to have lost my sense of time; everything had a sense of magnified immediacy that is just not possible to describe.

__________Near Death Experience__________

I tried to take a breath, realizing instantly there was no air in my lungs.

It was this point I instantly realized I was dying and that I'd essentially taken my last breath. Suddenly, I was consumed in a state of extreme peacefulness, and a calmness and serenity that made me feel safer than I'd ever felt in my life.

I remember recognizing the beginning of a life-review, but I only vaguely recall any of its details.

The next thing I remember is standing above the room, almost as if I was viewing the medical teams work on my lifeless body from the upper-left hand corner of the back of the room.

I could see the flatline on the heart monitor, similar to what I have seen in movies, and I could see and hear everything as they prepared a defibrillator to attempt to revive my heart.

Here is the unusual part that I found odd during my NDE. At the time I was 46 years-old and didn't see all that well without my glasses. But I remember watching as new cardiac nurses entered the room to assist. These are nurses who I'd had no contact with when I entered the room for surgery.

Oddly enough, from my vantage point I could read the names on their badges, Landers and McCarthy, and I had no glasses on.

After approximately four and a half-minutes they were able to get a heartbeat in my body, after which they hooked me up to life support since I was still unconscious.

It was at this point that I realized I was immobile and that I was essentially stuck to something I could not pull away from. I kept trying with everything I had to free myself from this force, but to no avail.

While I was attempting to jar myself loose, I heard the doctors say that I needed to be rushed to ICU.

In somewhat of a panic I watched as they wheeled my body to the door of the room. When the doors to the OR opened it revealed this blinding white light that relayed to me the most peaceful, safe feeling I have ever encountered.

At this point I remember looking to my right and my mother, Phyllis, who died one year prior to this event, to the date, 10/27/2001, was standing there smiling with her left-hand outreached. We acknowledged each other. She smiled, I smiled back, but I was too intent on getting back to the business at hand. I went back to trying to free myself, and when I looked back, my mother was gone.

As I watched my body being rolled, almost as if in slow motion, into the light, I remember giving one last tug with all my might to free myself from whatever it was that I was stuck to in order to follow my body into that beautiful white light. I wanted to go into it very badly.

The last thing I remember is looking down and seeing my right foot finally pull away and kick out, away from whatever it was that was holding me.

The next thing I remember is waking up six days later in ICU. I was told that I'd been in a coma and kept alive of life support for the six days. I was livid.

Still unable to speak from the throat surgery, I was given a frees board on which to write. My first words were, "Please pull the plug. I want to go back."

The odd thing is that during my subsequent stay in the unit I became chummy with some nurses who I shared my experience with. I told them how I recalled reading the names of the two cardiac nurses who had come in while I was "technically" dead.

The nurses were able to check the duty roster for the day the event happened and sure enough, the two nurses, Landers and McCarthy, were the two who rushed in to assist with my resuscitation.

One of the two actually dropped by to see me at one point, and she assured me that my body was virtually lifeless when she got there, and at no point in time did I ever regain consciousness, which would have been necessary in order for me to be able to read he name on her badge, never mind without my glasses.   https://www.nderf.org/Experiences/1glen_d_nde.html

I support the interpretation of the aforementioned researchers von Neumann, Wigner, Josephson, Wheeler and Stapp that this nonlocal space is more than a mathematical description; it is also a metaphysical space in which consciousness can exert influence because it has phenomenal properties.  Phenomenal means based on subjective perception, or literally "subjective perception in the mind"  According to this interpretation, consciousness has a primary presence in the universe, and all matter possesses subjective properties or consciousness.  In this view, consciousness is nonlocal and the origin or foundation of everything.   Consciousness Beyond Life: The Science of the Near-Death Experience   Pim van Lommel, M.D pg 245-6

If there is any ultimate stuff of the universe, it is pure energy, but subatomic particles are not "made of" energy, they are energy.  This what Einstein theorized in 1905.  Subatomic interactions, therefore, are interactions of energy with energy.  At the subatomic level there is no longer a clear distinction between what is and what happens,  between the actor and the action.  At the subatomic level the dancer and the dance are one.

.

Where there was "nothing" there suddenly is "something", and then the something is gone again, often changing into something else before vanishing.  In particle physics there is no distinction between empty, and in "empty space", and not-empty, or between something and not-something.  The world of particle physics is a world of sparkling energy forever dancing with itself in the form of its particles as they twinkle in and out of existence, collide, transmute and then disappear again.  The Dancing Wu Li Masters - Gary Zukav  pg 212-213

Modern physics has shown that the rhythm of creation and destruction is not only manifest in the turn of the seasons and in the birth and death of all living creatures, but is also the very essence of inorganic matter. According to quantum field theory, all interactions between the constituents of matter take place through the emission and absorption of virtual particles. More than that, the dance of creation and destruction is the basis of the very existence of matter, since all material particles 'self-interact; by emitting and reabsorbing virtual particles. Modern physics has thus revealed that every sub-atomic particle not only performs an energy dance, but also is an energy dance; a pulsating process of creation and destruction.

The patterns of this dance are an essential aspect of each particle's nature and determine many of its properties. For example, the energy involved in the emission and absorption of virtual particles is equivalent to a certain amount of mass which contributes to the mass of the self-interacting particles. Different particles develop different patterns in their dance requiring different amounts of energy, and hence have different masses. Virtual particles, finally are not only an essential part of all particle interactions and of most of the particles' properties, but are also created and destroyed by the vacuum. Thus, not only matter, but also the void, participates in the cosmic dance, creating and destroying energy patterns without end. The Tao of Physics pg- 244-245

A beautiful example of such an image of rhythm and dance is given Alexandra David-Neel in her Tibetan Journey, she describes how she met a Lama who referred to himself as a 'master of sound' and gave her the following account of his view of matter: All things . . . are aggregations of atoms that dance and by their movements produce sound. When the rhythm of the dance changes the sound it produces also changes . . . Each atom perpetually sings it song, and the sound at every moment creates dense and subtle forms.

The similarity of this view to that of modern physics becomes particularly striking when we remember that sound is a wave with a certain frequency that changes when the sound does, and that particles, the modern equivalent of the old concept of atoms, are also waves with frequencies proportional to their energies. According to field theory, each particles does indeed 'perpetually sing its song', produce rhythmic patterns of energy (the virtual particles) in dense and subtle form. The Tao of Physics pg 241-242

"Parts," are seen to be in immediate connection, in which their dynamical relationships depend, in an irreducible way, on the state of the whole system (and, indeed, on that of broader systems in which they are contained, extending ultimately and in principle to the wholeness which denies the classical ideas of analyzability of the world into separately and independently existing parts . . .  Theoretical physicist  David Bohm from  The Dancing Wu Li Masters - Gary Zukav  pg 312

__________Near Death Experience__________

I want to try to take you there with me so imagine how big the earth is, wait, no, back it up, imagine how small a grain of sand is. So you make the earth a grain of sand, and then the sun is as big as the earth, then you make the sun a grain of sand and the solar system as big as the sun then you make the solar system a grain of sand and the galaxy as big as the solar system then you make the galaxy a grain of sand and a tiny little piece of the universe as big as the galaxy then you make the entire, all the quadrant of the Universe a grain of sand and the Void is bigger than the universe, if the universe is a grain of sand. Then stretch it all back, that is the immensity of love.

When my focus went to the field of particles I kind of had the thought "what is this?" which was immediately answered with, this is the tiniest particle. This is what matter comes from. This is love expressed as material.

This is what everything is constructed from. This love, this love expressed as matter, is what the universe is made out of. This is love, this is God's love. Each physical piece of it is love and consciousness and the space between is love consciousness and infinite knowledge infinite information. This is what you did not know yet. This thing, this is it, this is the bridge between my love unexpressed and you. This is the bridge between all that energy unexpressed in the void and you, this field.  https://www.nderf.org/Experiences/1mary_d_ste.html

I felt completely at peace, tranquilized by the vision and the melodic drone.  I could have stayed in this place for eternity with this pulse of love and beauty beating through my soul.  The love poured into me from all corners of the universe.  I was still being propelled forward at what seemed great speed.  Yet I was able to observe all that I passed as if I were standing still.  Each passing second I was absorbing more and more knowledge.  No one spoke to me, nor did I hear voices in my head.  The knowledge just seemed to "BE" and with each new awareness came a familiarity.  A tiny point of light appeared far in front of me at the other end of my kaleidoscopic tunnel.  the light grew larger and larger as I was soaring closer and closer to it, until finally I had arrived at my destination.

At once there was total and absolute awareness.  there was not a question I could ask for which I did not already have the answer.  I looked over to the presence I knew would be there and thought, "God, it was so simple, why didn't I know that?".  I could not see God as I can see you.  Yet I knew it was him.  A Light, a beauty emitting from within, infinitely in all directions to touch every atom of being.  The harmony of coloration, design and melody originated here with the Light.

I miscarried the baby in the hospital and though I was very sad about the event,  I felt that all was meant to be.  As if {I've never wanted to name the Divine} or as I would like to refer to here as,  The Great Presence.

Two nurses came to take me up a few stairs to for an internal exam. As we went up I felt myself begin to reel backwards and off I went round and round through space,  I stopped spinning and began flying past planets and stars,  I flew through the rings of Saturn seeing massive rocks and dust particles right before my eyes,  I was marveling at the astounding beauty and laughing about how no one would believe my experience on Earth. It all felt so wonderful so exactly perfect,  I was an astronaut,  a fabulous free spirit of joy! I was filled with indescribable joy and love for all of creation from the vastness of space to the smallest of all nano-expressions!

Then suddenly I was above my body which lay on a stretcher bed,  wearing a white hospital gown,  I looked at my body and knew it wasn't the real me,  it was the thing I had been caught inside, and now I was free! Oh and how I felt such happiness! The joy was all pervading, it was the real world, pain , suffering, loss,  all illusionary experience that we like to get all knotted up about..

everything was becoming clear to me oh and the nurses were calling my name, one was crying tears, another was saying ''oh my God,  we've lost her!" meanwhile I was above them thinking what silly billys they were making all that fuss, wondering why they couldn't see me and just know that all was perfectly fabulous! Then I saw a window which was open about 6 inches wide and I thought ''wow, I wonder if I can fit through there, then instantly I was in another state.

I was flying through Goldenness, pure,  serene,  delightful,  Goldenness. Oh wow! I was held by this serenity for the longest time, I couldn't do anything except be with It and It with me. It was inside me ,  It was me,  It was in and with everyone and everything. It had always been in and with everything. It was/is,  Truth and Love and Compassion and Joy and All. This Goldenness held all information. It was the One Mind. It contained the creation of all of everything ever created.

I felt, experienced, everything that has ever been and ever shall be. All is simultaneously occurring . There is no past or future. It all just IS. There is no way to describe the immaculate beauty of this experience, though every day for the last 35 years I wish I could find a way. Bliss,  is a mere descriptive word,  yet does not give to you what I wish I could, but yes bliss is close, sort of.

I saw and experienced every single detail of my present life up to that moment,  like watching a movie yet starring as the main character simultaneously..that made me feel quite sad, as I had not lived my life in a state of serene joy, and felt ashamed..ashamed that I had not realized how imperative it is for one to be incredibly happy in this life..no matter the circumstances..the pain..the fear..no matter the matter!  https://www.nderf.org/Experiences/1yazmine_s_nde.html

All matter, including all or our body’s cells, molecules, and atoms, is made up of 99.999 percent emptiness or vacuum, and this vacuum is filled with energy and information that originates in nonlocal space, just as the universe around us is saturated with information and energy.  Consciousness Beyond Life: The Science of the Near-Death Experience   Pim van Lommel, M.D

Many NDErs afterwards tell us that they find they have become unusually sensitive to light, sound, humidity, and a variety of other environmental stimuli or conditions. Taste sensitivity increases, and one's tolerance for alcohol and pharmaceutical drugs diminishes. Not surprisingly, NDErs report more allergies afterwards, too. And particularly noteworthy here is a marked increase in electrical sensitivity – NDErs begin to have many “strange encounters of the electrical kind”. A surprisingly large proportion of these persons discover, for instance, that digital wrist watches will no longer work properly for them, or they “short out” electrical systems in their cars, or computers and appliances malfunction for no apparent reason, and so on. .  Lessons from the Light Kenneth Ring pg 129

The research mentioned in this section is only in its infancy, and it goes without saying that its preliminary findings, based almost exclusively on self reports, await confirmation from rigorous laboratory studies grounded in careful, objective measurement. Nevertheless, the data we have gathered so far are very consistent in suggesting that the NDE affects soma as well as psyche, and that far fro being a psychological phenomenon, the conscious experience of nearly dying is one that tends to reprogram the individual at a deep psycho- biological level. Obviously, if this turns out to be supported by future research, we would have still another firm reason to conclude that the NDE cannot be explained away on purely subjective grounds.  Lessons from the Ligh Kenneth Ring pg 131

.To produce new particles in the LHC, scientists pump protons full of kinetic energy and then smash them together. The energy in a particle collision can transform into mass in the form of new particles, which then decay into less massive particles and eventually back into energy. The search for dark matter at the LHC

Images Large Hadron Collider  Group Photo Large Hadron Collider

[Referring to the collision of particles in the colliders such as the Large Hadron Collider Both of these particles decay spontaneously (no collision necessary) into two additional particles, leaving four new particles.  Of these four particles, two of them are the same particles we started with!  it is as though, wrote Finkelstein, we fling two clocks together, they shatter, and out of them come flying not gears and springs but more clocks, some of them as large as the originals.

How can this happen?  The answer is partly given by Einstein's special theory of relativity.  The new particles are created from the kinetic energy (energy of motion) of the projectile particle.  in addition to the mass of the projectile particle and the mass of the target particle.  The faster the projectile particle is traveling, the more kinetic energy is available to create new particles at the point of impact.   The Dancing Wu Li Masters - Gary Zukav  pg

.

Einstein's Special Theory of Relativity proposed that matter and energy are different aspects of the same substance, and the atomic bomb confirmed that proposal.  Thus entanglement is a property of both matter (as in atoms) and energy (as in photons).  This means that the bioelectromagnetic fields around our bodies are entangled with electromagnetic fields in the local environment and with photons arriving from distant stars.  The brain's electromagnetic fields are entangled with the rest of the universe not because of direct contact, in the sense of billiard balls colliding, but because its fields interpenetrate with the energetic fields of everything else.  This is also how the universe remains entangled.  Entangled Minds  Extrasensory Experiences in a Quantum Reality - Dean Radin  pg 268

__________Near Death Experience__________

.

I was shown how illnesses start on an energetic level before they become physical.  If I chose to go into life, the cancer would be gone from my energy, and my physical body would catch up very quickly.  I then understood that when people have medical treatments for illnesses, it rids the illness only from their body but not from their energy so the illness returns.  I realized if I went back, it would be with a very healthy energy.  Then the physical body would catch up to the energetic conditions very quickly and permanently.  I was given the understanding that this applies to anything, not only illnesses – physical conditions, psychological conditions, etc.  I was "shown" that everything going on in our lives was dependent on this energy around us, created by us.  Nothing was solid - we created our surroundings, our conditions, etc. depending where this "energy" was at.  The clarity I received around how we get what we do was phenomenal!  It’s all about where we are energetically.  I was made to feel that I was going to see "proof" of this first hand if I returned back to my body.

We have now come to the conclusion that space is the primary thing and matter only secondary. Einstein 1930

We may therefore regard matter as being constituted by the regions of space in which the field is extremely intense . . . There is no place in this new kind of physics both for the field and matter for the field is the only reality.  Albert Einstein

We have sought for firm ground and found none.  The deeper we penetrate the more restless becomes the universe; all is rushing about and vibrating in a wild dance.  Max Born Physicist Nobel Prize 1954

The world is built not out of bits of matter, but out of  bits of knowledge – subjective, conscious knowings.  John Von Neumann

I am now convinced that theoretical physics is actually philosophy. - Max Born

The stream of knowledge is heading toward a non-mechanical reality; the universe  begins to look more like a great thought than a great machine.  - Sir James Jeans

Time and space are modes by which we think and not conditions in which we live.  ~ Einstein

The ultimate perception does not originate in the brain or any material structure, although a material structure is necessary to manifest it.  The subtle mechanism of knowing the truth does not originate in the brain.

There is a similarity between thought and matter.  All matter, including ourselves, is determined by "information".  "Information" is what determines space and time.  Theoretical physicist David Bohm from  The Dancing Wu Li Masters - Gary Zukov pg 323

Now he has departed from this strange world a little ahead of me. That means nothing. We convinced physicists know that the distinction between past, present and future is only an illusion, however persistent.

Albert Einstein and the Fabric of Time

In space-time, everything which for each of us constitutes the past, the present and the future is given en bloc . . . Each observer, as his time passes, discovers, so to speak, new slices of space-time which appear to him as successive aspects of the material world, through in reality the ensemble of events constituting space-time exist prior to his knowledge of them.  Louis de Broglie French Quantum Physicist  Nobel Prize 1929

The objective world simply is it does not happen. Only to the gaze of my consciousness, crawling along the lifeline of my body, does a section of this world come to life as a fleeting image in space which continuously changes in time.  Herman Weyl Theoretical Physicist and Philosopher  From: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/next/physics/in-100-years

__________Near Death Experience's__________

.

With regard to the question of time, everything happened instantaneously. The whole thing happened all at once but we are bound by the restraints of language ... It is like an explosion, it is all there.  When my life went before my eyes, it was not from my earliest memory at thirteen months.  There was an enormous TV screen in front of me .....  Way over on the left was my memory at thirteen months, and way over on the right was July 1972, age thirty-eight.  Everything in between was right there and I could see the whole thing, all at the same instant. Lessons from the Light: What We Can Learn from the Near-Death Experience pg 150

All of a sudden....my life passed before me ..... What occurred was every emotion I have felt in my life, I felt.  And my eyes were showing me the basis of how that emotion had affected my life.  What my life had done so far to affect other people's lives, using the feeling of pure love that was surrounding me as the point of comparison.  And I had done a terrible job.  God, I mean it! ... Lookin' at yourself from the point of how much love you have spread to other people is devastatin'.  The Light Beyond  Raymond Moody  page 71

When I nearly drowned in the ocean at seventeen, my whole life was there within the light - buy instead of a sequence of events, it came all at once.  I learned that time as we think of it doesn't exist, nor does the separation between us ... In fact, it was almost as if there was no "other".  I say almost because I had self-awareness, but know my awareness lived within an intricate pattern that existed eternally, everywhere.  Lessons from the Light: What We Can Learn from the Near-Death Experience.  Page 176

And yet as I relived in my life, there was no judgement being places on it by anyone.  No one pointed a finger at the horrors, or blamed me for any of my mistakes.  There was only the overwhelming presence of complete acceptance, total openness and deepest love.  Lessons from the Light: What We Can Learn from the Near-Death Experience. Pg 165
